Loss of work is always a powerful stress. Of course, if you retired yourself – this is one thing. But what if after all, your employer was the initiator of the dismissal?
I generally advise to do nothing the first few days. It is necessary to calm down, collect your thoughts and think about a plan of action. But when you calm down, you need to start drawing up a plan of action.

Sit down, take a sheet of paper and write the following two main sections on it: money and work. You may set more categories. The main thing is to understand the principle. Then begin to fill in the relevant sections.
In the plan’s drawing up, please note that you can use the time of involuntary unemployment for the benefit of yourself. You can finally go on courses you have wanted to study in for a long time. Raise your skills in specialized seminars, trainings, which take place at this time.

This is a good opportunity to obtain additional education and improve your chances of employment, as many people do not have such possibility during the time they have to go for work. Some do not have enough free time, others have such an idea come to mind only when they are dismissed, or when they are going to change its scope of activities.
It is always possible to use the employment funds as a payer for such courses. However, this related mostly to people who can not settle on a specialty and acquiring new skills for future employment. Perhaps, fund will be able employ you after the graduation.

And now we come closer to the sections of our plan. So …
1. Analyze your financial situation. We take into account the ability to borrow money from your friends and acquaintances, relatives. By simple calculations you determine how long can safely look for work, not particularly caring about the means of subsistence.

I advise you to take care of such an insurance reserve in advance. Having estimated in advance, how long time you can spend to find new jobs and, having added few months as an additional precaution, we determine how much money you need to live this time monthly, not straining too much. Multiply this figure on the time required and obtain the desired amount.

You need to defer this amount in order to have a stockpile of money in case of job loss. It is better to put by up to 10% of your earnings. That’s not particularly expensive. But it should be done every month.
Having realized that hunger would not kill you in the near future, proceed to the second item.
2. Job search. Phone all the friends, acquaintances, work colleagues and define, whether they know anything about the vacancies.
Draw up a list of employers who may have these jobs, or simply who you would like to work with. Make calls then.
Then, we publish mini-resumes in the newspapers and in the Internet.
Review the specialized newspapers, magazines, websites that publish vacancy announcements.
Remember that the job search is also job. So you need to do this at least 4-6 hours a day.
In addition to the above, it is necessary to take into account several other factors affecting the efficiency of job search will speak about later.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the ?anterbury jobs site for a very good and helpful search on the ?anterbury jobs propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we are living in the world where info makes life easier.

That is why if you are properly armed with the info in your sphere of interest you can rest assured that you will always find the solution to any bad situation.

It is important to have a rest. Job search is a potentially tedious, especially if you get negative results. It is necessary to provide regular rest here. For instance, holiday outings, watching movies, sports and sauna, stay in the family are good variants.

Do not neglect this. Otherwise, by the end of the distance you will have such a condition that employers will simply receive negative emotions when dealing with you. For the most part, they are experienced people, painfully aware of the emotional state of a candidate for the vacancy.

Positive attitude
When looking for work, you just need to maintain a positive attitude constantly. And, it all begins as soon as you wake up.

While you are lying down, think about your plan of action for the day. Feel how every day you have more experience gathered in job search. And, consequently, your chances increase.
“I’m calling considering the job …” The familiar phrase, isn’t it? It is it or a similar phrase that all applicants who seek employment through the ads should say.

The first telephone conversation with the employer is very important. From the impression that you will complete, it will determine whether to invite you for an interview or not. If you give mixed responses, speak at random etc. it is a sure way to “fill up” the conversation.

In order to avoid this, it is necessary to observe a few simple rules.
1. You must welcome the interlocutor and introduce yourself. In this case specify the job you are applying for and also the source of information, which you learned about the vacancy from. Be sure to call this job! Remember that an employer may publish a lot of ads with a list of several vacancies.

2. Having heard a possible question: “What have you been busy with?” do not answer in any case: “Who, me? I worked”. Is it funny? For the first time, it was too funny. Then I became irritated. I must say that this answer is typical for the initial positions (vendors, workers), applicants aged between 18 and 25. But it is repeated with enviable regularity.

3. Having made greetings you do not need to ask: “And what is you claim?” It would be more correct: “What is the job? What are the duties to be performed?” In this way, you just show your professionalism. If an employer wants to know whether you meet the necessary requirements, he will ask you about it.
4. After the above initial questions have been put, it would be appropriate to clarify some important additional points concerning the future work (working hours, wages, etc.). Just do not ask too many questions! Ask only that is truly important. Numerous minor issues and leave a negative impression.
Keep in mind that your questions are the part of your image, and important one. The main purpose of the conversation is to be invited for an interview. Many also perceive this as an opportunity to immediately get a job. This happens very rarely! I repeat, your goal is an invitation for an interview or, in extreme cases, a request of your resume.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the job in ?anterbury site for a very good and helpful search on the employment in ?hristchurch propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we are living in the world where knowledge quickly enhances the quality of our life.

That is why if you are properly armed with the info in your topic you can be sure that you will in any case find the way out from any bad situation.

Many agencies do not welcome the re-mailing of resume or re-filling of the questionnaires in their agency. In this case it is necessary to know the phone contact person responsible for correction and completion of questionnaires and summaries, and contact him/her if necessary to adjust your data.
So, having made the list of vacancies you would apply for, take this list and begin ringing the companies in list, present yourself, learn who is responsible for the selection of personnel in this company, ask to switch you to this man (learn the phone number and calls back).
How not to reduce your chances to “zero point” when filling out questionnaires of employer?
Many people commit the same mistake in employment every day. What do I mean?
Everything is very simple. The applicant does not adapt the resume and the data that feeds into the profile of the employer under the asserted claims.
Here is a typical case. The girl came to get a job of the seller in the shop. She filled out the form, gave it to recruiters, and started to leave.

Only this shows that she is not confident in her abilities. Asking her to stay until they examine the form, HR picked up the completed sheet and glanced at him.
There was nothing to catch for in it. There is no experience in this area. In addition, she is the part time student of penultimate year of university. And, therefore there are the regular sessions, lasting up to three weeks each.
In general, no way out. Even if there is a wish, HR manager can not catch hold of anything. But, to give the girl a chance, the recruiter asks: “Why have not you completed at least some courses for sellers, if you decide to work in this specialty?”

And the answer was: “I have finished it!”. Having heard this answer, recruiter’s face reflected a whole range of emotions, dominated by the surprising. It was difficult to understand why she had not disclosed this critical part for her in the questionnaire.
In further conversation more amazing details are being investigated. It turns out that she has not only graduated courses with excellent marks, but also has two months of practice held in fairly well-known shops.
Fantastic! Only career suicide may not mention these facts.

When you try to find out why she has not introduced these data in the questionnaire the following things reveal. Personally, for her, the studying the course was a simple necessity to earn money for the period of study, but much more significant event was a study in the university. Having finished that, she planned to work on a specialty.
Therefore, having prioritized for herself, she has devoted her studies constantly. She considered courses studying to be minor and insignificant.
So, do not make this mistake!
When writing a resume and filling in forms, you must try to find out what the requirements are put forward by your future employer, and repel from them.
He does not care whether you have a law degree or not, if he needs a consultant to the shoe store. An experience in similar work is more important in this case, so as recommendations, certificates of specialized courses and trainings. The availability of these data should be demonstrated to employer.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the job agencies ?anterbury site for a very good and helpful search on the employment in ?hristchurch propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we live in the world where knowledge quickly enhances the quality of our life.

At the stage when the first thoughts about looking for a new job appear, you must clearly imagine, what is your present job, and what it does not suit you with. It is also necessary to formulate the main features of the work on which you would like to work (working hours, working conditions, wages, basic duties etc.).
From this we will build.
Draw up a list of:
- Newspapers, magazines, where you can learn about current job openings, post information about you.
- Friends who you can learn about the vacancy from.
- Recruiting agencies and employment agencies, labor exchanges.
- Potential employers, where the vacancies that may be of your interest could be found.
When the list is drawn up, we begin to act.
Step 1. Review all possible vacancies in newspapers and magazines. In parallel, having the opportunity, post information about yourself (mini-resumes, ads).
HR managers seek such ads when there are a lot of items that should be closed at short notice in the company. The market is represented with a lot of specialized publications. Each of them has its own niche.
You need to buy newspapers every week, to point out those jobs that you interest of and send resume. As a rule, the same ads appear in various newspapers, they may be from a company and from the employment agency or even a few agencies. The best way to send information about you is to do it using all the addresses.
There is also another cheap way to find staff – to view mini-resumes. They are very convenient for the human resources manager. They set out basic information, and it is possible to select suitable 3-4 mini-resumes of a dozen ones and talk on the phone immediately. They are easy to read in the newspaper and not full of superfluous details.
Unfortunately, for some reason a few applicants use this simple way of job search.
Firstly, it is quite effective – the possibility of fax does not come in any comparison with a circulation of newspapers.
Secondly, it is often psychologically easier when you do not transmit the summary and some calls you with a specific proposal.
Step 2. First of all, when a new vacancy appears, the employer is trying to tell the staff – may be there is the right person among someone’s friends and acquaintances.
Pluses are obvious – there is no cost and there are professional references.
Therefore, beginning the job search let your friends, former colleagues, fellow students know about your plan to find a new job.
Step 3. We visit, fill out an online questionnaire of recruitment agencies in your city, send CV there. It must be remembered that they are working on the customer, that is to say company, and are guided by its interests, ideas about what kind of employee they would like to see on a post.
In order to make the agency get interested with you, you must have a profile education, work experience in the specialty required, preferably in companies with sonorous names.
Unfortunately, graduates and those who have decided to change the profession are unlikely to be of interest to recruiters. However, to it is not worth of it to neglect such an opportunity.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the ?hristchurch recruitment site for a very good and helpful search on the ?anterbury jobs propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we are living in the world where information makes life easier.

That is why if you are properly armed with the information in your sphere of interest you can be sure that you will in any case find the way out from any bad situation.

Image is important thing when you seek to have successful career. But, it is good to be small and not to worry about your image, reputation, and how you look like in the eyes of others. To be honest, sometimes I think about the times when could do all things that pleased the soul, absolutely not thinking about consequences. But those days have passed away, and now I have to weigh my deeds and actions and match them in order to create an image.
I remember the moment when I thought about the image first. This event occurred when I was 14 years old. I saw an illustration behind the fashion article in a magazine: some Parisian woman was in a classic coat and a scarf, coming out of curl in the wind. “Oh, that’s a real woman!” – I thought then. Long coat, scarf and plume of perfume – that was the perfect image for a long time.

Understanding that image – this is not just an appearance, but also reputation, came to me a bit later – when I was 20. Moreover, there was no particular moment. Just a realization came to me: in order to be successful, it is not enough to have a scarf. In addition, as it often happens in 20, “my life was catastrophically taking shape: neither honoured bachelor’s diploma, nor the presence of fans and the prospects for successful work did not make me happy. Moreover, my image among friends and acquaintances formed not very pleasantly for me at that time: sharp desire to be weak and dependent appeared, while everybody was accustomed to rely on me.

At some point I wanted to break the vicious circle and change everything. Therefore, I caught almost delusional idea of moving to another city. Why delusional? At least because, having studied on a paid department during three years, I finally got scholarship for the masters program. Future looked promising as I had possibility to get masters degree first, PhD then and finally get a fairly good job. And why did I need this move? Well, this was a step into the unknown: to get or not to get work … New people, new friends, new job …
And I have got the success! I began to form a new image from the scratch. After all, in a big city, no one knows who I am and what is capable of. This means that out of the closet you can get a scarf and try to play the role of “real women” from a picture. Did I take offence often and a person could tell when I am dissatisfied? Well, then I would be offended less often and practice to keep a straight face in front of the mirror.
And to make it easier, I have invented a sample: the perfect woman, possessing those traits, which I do not and without those flaws that I have. And every time I found myself in a difficult situation, I imagined how she would have done, what she would have said and done. And I followed her. This made the determination to move forward continually.

Yes, the times when I did not know what the image is, are over. Similarly, as the days are gone, when I believed that the image is just perfume and scarf. But now I can afford to be different. I can the person I wish to be. After all, this is only my decision, but there’s nothing like the image of a mature man.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the job in ?anterbury site for a very good and helpful search on the employment agency ?hristchurch propositions.

Should you agree with the boss in everything?
What side to choose? Should I always say what think about my leadership?

In answering this question keep in mind the golden phrase: “You should be friends with the leadership!”. Perhaps it is the only viable solution in case you have decided to stay in the company for a long term. The word “friendship” in this case means that it is not necessary at all to criticize the idea of leadership, to gossip about his mistakes, blunders, but to learn to establish a productive dialogue. Remember that all may be wrong, but if one became the head, it means there is something good in him. For instance, experience, knowledge, leadership qualities and ability to make decisions and you had better learn it. Learn how to see something good in a person of your boss (in fact there is something good in every human?).Under the key relationships we understand the discussion of controversial issues and your proposals, finding a consensus in all issues. If, for example, you do not like the strategy of your leadership, just arrange a personal meeting and discuss with him what you do not like giving objective reasons and offering alternatives. And do not just criticize chief for certain action in public.

Why you should not say always what you think about the boss?

Do not choose the opponent’s position in relations with the boss at least on the grounds that:
As a rule, the boss usually wins with the help of experience, knowledge, ability to make decisions, and to take responsibility.
The administration does not like to look stupid in the eyes of other subordinates. It will never forgive you if you set it in bad light.

With the revelation, you will only live to see that you are the last from those, who will be offered to lead an interesting project, who will be improved in the post, who will be assisted in a difficult situation. It most likely, that in the case, excessive requirements will be charged to you, and not fulfilling of them will cause the humiliation towards you in varying degrees every time.
You can be made as an object of ridicule. With his behavior towards you, the boss can dispose the rest, weaker of his subordinates against you.
Such position seems to be more advantageous as “I always agree with the boss”, but it also has negative points:

Boss may think that if you constantly agree with him in all issues, then you simply do not have your own opinion, and maybe you do a really stupid man?
Smart boss will always see false relation through the head, and will keep you at a distance, or even avoid you.
Suspicions may be arose by him: if you can not argue to him in one form or another, it is most likely, that you are gossiping behind his back. And bosses have never liked gossips.

Moreover, it will be difficult for you to agree in everything with the boss, to praise his ideas, when they seem absurd to you. You will experience some discomfort from your inner anonymity.
So, choose the middle ground!

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the ?anterbury jobs site for a very good and helpful search on the ?anterbury jobs propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we are living in the world where info quickly enhances the quality of our life.

That is why if you are properly armed with the info in your sphere of interest you can be sure that you will always find the way out from any bad situation.

What do you think about articles writing for the Internet? The most popular texts in the network are the following:
* Ordered written article under the certain subject – copywriting article
* Copied papers of other authors (roughly speaking, it is a remake) – rewriting
* Promo, Advertising, Information article / text / news about something or someone – PR copywriting.
* Information paper for users and search engines – SEO-copyrighting
* Small texts that help user to navigate the site –so called usability-copywriting.
The easiest way is to start with rewriting. Despite the fact that the cost of rewriting is little (your earnings from the rewriting will be from 1 to 2 USD per thousand characters in average), you should practice it necessarily.
Then you can start trying to write on a given topic. For example, write an article about the first thing you will see after have detached the look from the computer now. Believe me, the whole treatises could be made about the light bulb or wallpaper.
By the way, you can write not only for a real customer. For example, if you wrote a series of articles on the same bulb, you can try to sell these texts and thus make money (to do this, leave the announcement of the sale of the text on the special site or forum).
There is a very important concept of “uniqueness of the text” in the network. The customer, taking your work, will surely check the written texts weather they are unique with the help of one of the services concerning the plagiarism existence.
Once you have learned how to rewrite and write order articles on a certain subject, you can develop following turn of the profession – writing of small explanatory texts. It only seems that small texts are easier to write than long ones.
In fact, it is very difficult to put the most important thing in 2 sentences. And in the case of explanatory texts on the sites it is doubly difficult, since in these two sentences you must both inform the user concerning the information about the topic and also explain to him how to find the information in this section more quickly.
By the way, many practitioners recommend learning to write short texts as follows: Take a long article (at least 2000 characters), and made a note up to 800 characters on it, noting only the essence and important points of the article. Then let someone of your friends read the article and your note, ask the opinion. And do so 50 times minimum.
Aerobatics in the texts for the Internet is a SEO-copywriting (but it is best paid). It is important for all sites as they are seen with the search engine (Google, Yahoo etc.). And what place the site has in the results from a search engine, because search engines give main stream of visitors for all sites.
When ranking sites (defining positions in search results), search engines look at many factors of a site, including the content (text content) of the resource. To understand what a topic the website is dedicated to, search engine scans with its robot the site and selects keywords that are most often used in texts on a site.

Career development is closely linked to financial growth, although quite often you can sacrifice one for another. So, moving to a higher position with the same pay, you can be sure that it will bring larger dividends in future.
The situation when, you stay on the original position, but the terms of your responsibilities expands, and you feel that your leadership have noticed you and thus push you up the career ladder, is completely acceptable.
On the other hand, if you grew up “out of short pants” of your responsibilities, and the rising is not expected, it is unlikely for you to be able to tolerate this state of affairs for a long time. And even a gain in payroll will be at best only as the delay of your decision’s execution.
However, the rush is not worth it. It is possible that there will be an opportunity to move to another area of work, but it is an opportunity to apply your knowledge and skills in new capacity, in the new environment. Carrying out other tasks, develop abilities you have not had before, thus increasing your value as a specialist. This is called as the horizontal growth.
We have not mentioned here such problems as hidden sexual harassment in the workplace, irreconcilable differences of religious or philosophical positions. We are not talking here about any personal friction with colleagues or management. After all, if a person initially gets in a hostile to him environment, he seeks to withdraw immediately from such a place and change the work without any hesitation.
It rather means the overall climate in the team. What kind of behavior in the team is considered as the norm among the colleagues? Do they act as a team, or do they just build coalitions of “pro” and “against” each other? Does the mutual help exist there, or laying the blame for the failed project on mates is accepted. This is something worth thinking about. If there is an unfavorable climate in a team of your company, it is unlikely to achieve any success without the opaque intrigue. But you have come in order to work and not to play games. As a result, you can serve for the benefit of the common cause faithfully for several years, and, eventually, be dismissed as a result of trivial intrigues or some kind of fraud.
It is probably familiar situation to many of us, when the salary is delayed, the leadership is being changed more often than the flowers on a reception do, but the future is covered with fog and uncertainty.
What do candidates usually write in a resume? “I want to find work in … … and stable company.” So, what is stability? How nice to us this word is. Let’s talk frankly.
Many people understand such states under the stability as:
- Salaries without delay; – vacation on time and in full capacity; – it is not so easy for them to fire me; – even if I am dismissed, the firm is stable and has the money on its account to pay me compensation for the appropriate period of time.
And in this case, a stable company is a synonym to a large company, and they do not only disappear in the blink of an eye, but always are under the scrutiny of public officials who are ready to fine such company for the violation of labor laws and negotiate with it then…

It’s no a secret that there are 2 main “human” aspects on a workplace:
• Money, that is, wages, or own profit
• Interest. This means the realization of dreams, education, life experiences, hobbies etc.
Of course, we can consider only that work as an ideal, which combines both these aspects. Unfortunately, this does not occur as often as we would like, so … we change work from time to time.
What motivates us to look for a new job? We will discuss typical reasons in this article below, but as for now we assume that the main motivation for the change of work is our dissatisfaction with one aspect or another, or both of them together.
So, let us work together to reason, when it is the moment of transition from reflection to action.
Wages are not rising
The most popular motive is the financial one. I have worked for a company during the long period of time; have invested much energy and ideas in it. But my salary now and the salary I have started with are the same.
“We have got a period of formation in the firm, we are just beginning and indicators do not predict the growth of wages according to the last quarter of…” Once we cease to meet such phrases of our boss. In the end, I am an employee and want the growth. If I did not get it here, I would seek it elsewhere.
In order to understand weather you are being got paid adequately, consider the current situation on the labor market: what money is now offered to professionals with your education, experience and knowledge. It does not matter what salary was offered at the moment employment, a lot could change since. In case the cost of your professional profile and skill level has increased, but wages are not improved, you should make your management board pay attention to the situation. If the situation does not improve – it is time to look for a new employer.
You have come to the company with a great desire to implement your ideas and, consequently, bring your contribution to its prosperity. Let us suppose you have succeeded. And no longer can. It is difficult to understand whose fault it is, but the fact remains – the novelty and the mood is gone. However, this situation is not the most common.
More often it happens that you, being filled and overflowing with fresh ideas and sentiments, bump on the regular bureaucratic routine of well-established steering apparatus. And here, the initiative is often not something that is not encouraged, it may be destroyed in the bud. Otherwise, those who showed good fellow may become a competitor very soon. Especially, such a situation is typical for large offices of international companies with large budgets.
So, must you change it or not? This decision is always difficult to make. Dostoyevsky wrote that most of people afraid of each of their new step. And everyone, having carefully weighed all the pros and cons, should make this choice himself. Nevertheless, the change of work – this is just a change of work. This is not the end of your life, as often happens, it seems, but rather a new beginning. The vast majority of those who once decided to quit his/her job, wanting a career and professional growth, has not regretted it.
Nevertheless, the decision should never be taken spontaneously. It, like ripe fruit, must itself fall to the ground. But after that, you should not let it just lie there. If the decision is made – act.

Those who are looking for the ?anterbury jobs – please use the job agencies ?anterbury site for a very good and helpful search on the employment agency ?hristchurch propositions.

And this is, by the way, a good proof that we live in the world where information quickly enhances the quality of our life.

Many problems and misunderstandings in the workplace can be avoided being aware of the basic behaviours of men and women. This is important when interacting with colleagues, and in the chain called “head-subordinate”, because the motivation of men and women are different, and therefore they need to be operated differently. Career opportunities and interests must be offered each group. It is proved that in a team where there are both men and women, the work is efficient and the results are better. Therefore, instead of being annoyed because of the gender characteristics of your colleagues, it is better to use the advantages of each of them for the benefit of the general affairs.
There are several advices for women how to behave on a workplace.
Modesty and restraint remained as the prerogative of the Victorian era. In our time, they will not bring you success in your career, so if you think that your idea really improve a company’s business, do not keep silent about it. And do not allow others to assign your achievements!
Learn how to stand up for yourself. Do not allow men to interrupt you, and never give in to intimidation. But there is a little advice: do not try to take everything under control. Use a natural charm and communication skills – let everyone leave the meeting feeling that he has been heard.
Do not finish saying with the words “Do not you think so?”, “After all is this possible?” Or even worse: “Well, OK?”. You have left school long time ago, so stop asking permission for everything.
Leave the emotional details and unnecessary comments. Express thoughts clearly and distinctly.
Do not go into discussions on personal issues. Talk about work at work.
Speak the truth, and do not be afraid of offending the feelings of the interlocutor. Do not think that person will be pleased to hear about him something good first and the list of misdemeanours then. Go straight to the point.
Do not try to resemble men. It doesn’t fit tou. Use women’s strengths.
Do not take others’ guilt. Do not apologize just out of courtesy, but sincerely apologize if you are really wrong.
Keep track of your body language: giggles and smiles will turn you from a serious business woman, whose opinion is being listened, into the schoolgirl.
If a man asks you not to take the issue to heart, try to do so. Men regard to a lot of things easier. Try to do so.
Here are several advices for men how to behave on a workplace.
Spare no time to establish good relations. And it means plenty of communication, such as in a bar with friends, only without the beer and football.
Keep in mind the good manners. You would not believe what benefit could be taken from the words “please” and “thank you”.
Pause in the words: listen carefully to opinions of fellow women, do not interrupt her.
Women take everything to heart closely, and if you had not understood this at school, it’s time, finally, to become an adult man. The fact that is simply expression for you, may seem rude and cruel for women. Be softer.
